The Dunes Properties – Corporate Gallery of Art is hosting an exciting and outstanding exhibition of Latin fine art from the collection of Reynier Llanes. Mr. Llanes an artist, curator, and a passionate art lover has assembled a collection of paintings by mid-career professional artists from Cuba whose masterful works speak to those who have a love of nature, humanity, belonging, and a sense of purpose that crosses cultural boundaries. What makes the Llanes collection of art unique is that it specializes in the collection of art from a unique multicultural region of Cuba, Pinar del Rio.
This area is a thriving cultural center that has been the birth and home place of many of Cuba’s most outstanding, writers, poets, and visual artists. While Havana may be the source where much of their art may be found in galleries and museums, it is Pinar del Rio that nurtured these great artists. This westernmost province of Cuba has a multicultural infrastructure that relates to the land, life, and the essence of community. One can only visit the landscape to understand its geographic wonders and begin to comprehend that it is a special environment that has for centuries nurtured a creative harmony amongst all those that live there.
Approximately 22 paintings of 6 artists from the collection are incorporated into this powerful exhibition including the works of Juan Carlos Morales, Yaciel Martinez, Emilo E. Amanteros, Javier Ampudia , Livan Ricardo Hernandez and Reynier Llanes.
